      We post selected news that may be of interest to residents and/or visitors of Union Springs and Bullock County. We're not trying to post every event that occurs, but we'll do our best to keep you informed of anything of interest to our visitors and guests!

Red Door Theatre 2008 Season Schedule

     Many new productions are in the works at the Red Door Theatre! Already on the schedule for the 2008 are 4 different productions. In March, Tim Wells performed to rave reviews as native Montgomerian Nat King Cole in a locally written show about the singer. In April and May, Conecuh People again takes center stage as the cornerstone of the 2008 season, with 6 performances. In early August, Steel Magnolias will make its debut at the theatre, and in December, Last Night of Ballyhoo is scheduled to make its local premiere. Chunnenuggee Fair 2007

Spring is here and that means the Chunnenuggee Fair is near! Sponsored by the Bullock County Historical Society, this family-oriented event is held annually on the last Saturday in April.  Begun in 1847, the town of Union Springs blocks off Prairie Street for a fun filled day of exciting games and musical entertainment.  Food and lots of arts and crafts are part of the Fair, and the popular Bullock County Idol contest will be back again this year!  Vendors and visitors: Read more about the Chunnenuggee Fair!
